Please note that you also need to join the Association for Cardiff-Nantes Exchange when submitting an application to join the Exchange.
For those who are not able to host a French guest in Cardiff but wish to stay with a Nantais host, there will be an extra charge – if this situation applies to you please discuss with a Committee Member before submitting your form so that you are fully aware of the financial implications for you.
To note the ferry company insists anyone travelling on an overnight crossing must have a cabin.
The Application Form to join the Exchange provides details of:
•the Exchange dates
•the cost of the Exchange
•the dates when a deposit and the balance are payable
•acceptable methods for payment
•the range of documents you need to have to be able to undertake a visit to Nantes
•the form also seeks a range of information to help aid matching of people from the Cardiff group with an appropriate person from the Nantais group
The Exchange subsidised cost includes:
•Return coach ferry travel between Cardiff City centre and Nantes
•for 2 people sharing a 4-berth cabin we will pay a supplement which will be partially reduced by a subsidy
•a person requiring sole use of a 4-berth cabin will pay a supplement which will be partly reduced by a subsidy
•use of coach for excursions during our time in France
•entry fees for excursions when applicable
•an official dinner in Nantes
