Last year, 2021, Bernard Martin, Nantes chair of the exchange group ELANC (Échanges Linguistiques pour Adultes entre Nantes et Cardiff) and the twinning officers for both Nantes and Cardiff asked us to prepare a presentation for a programme on the twinning relationships between Wales and France. Bernard himself prepared a factual report on the exchange so we decided that we would offer personal perspectives on our experiences of the exchange.
John Cranwell, Pauline Reid and Margaret George prepared a video, reminiscing about the start of the exchange and the places we had visited and people we had met in Nantes and Cardiff who had subsequently become friends.
